Julian R. E. Whitten
Grit. It is due to his display of sheer grit that Julian was awarded Rookie of the Year for the Collegiate Rugby League. A trait that Julian brings to the practice of workplace law.
Julian is no stranger to the resolution of workplace legal disputes. He spent several summers as a student with Whitten & Lublin and he has also worked at a major Montréal litigation boutique specialized in labour law.
Julian is passionate about honing his advocacy skills in both of Canada’s official languages. He was selected to represent the University of Ottawa for 2 years as a francophone mooter. Most notably, he pled before a Supreme Court justice in French during the finals of the Laskin moot, in which he placed in top 6% percentile of all contestants.
Having graduated cum laude from the prestigious Canadian law Program, Julian holds degrees in both common and civil law. Before law school, he completed an Honours BA in political science at Dalhousie University in Halifax. During his undergraduate studies, Julian also studied at the University of Oxford, the oldest English speaking university in the world.
