About Toronto Employment Lawyer - Ellen Low

Wrongful Dismissal Lawyer in Toronto Ontario Ellen@whittenlublin.com

Ellen Low is an employment lawyer who knows what it takes to “go the distance”.  As a marathon runner and former varsity rugby player, Ellen knows the value of working as a team and that hard work, dedication, and preparation are the keys to success in any endeavor.  Ellen applies these principles in providing practical legal advice to employers and employees regarding workplace issues.

Ellen’s interest in employment law was sparked by her own experiences working as an employee and manager, combined with a desire to work with people, an interest in social justice, and a passion for continued learning.

Ellen obtained her law degree from the University of Ottawa.  During law school, she received the Ultramar Award for Community Commitment recognizing her contributions to the law review, legal clinic, and various students’ associations.  During her final year of law school, Ellen was selected to participate in an international law project in Nairobi, Kenya.

Ellen was licensed to practice law in Ontario in 2008 after articling at a national law firm.  Prior to joining Whitten & Lublin LLP she gained experience working at a litigation firm where she focused on litigation and employment law.

In 2010, Ellen joined Whitten & Lublin LLP so that she could focus exclusively on employment law, human rights and workplace issues.  Ellen provides advice to employers and employees on all aspects of employment law including: drafting and reviewing employment contracts, workplace policies, termination provisions, non-competition clauses and restrictive covenants, wrongful and constructive dismissal litigation, employment standards, workplace investigations, occupational health and safety issues as well as human rights in the workplace.

Ellen prides herself on giving employment law advice in plain English.
